How to open Mutual Fund in FAMI-SALEF for OFW

FAMI Equity Mutual FundπŸ€‘

Just to share to everyone my experienced on how I started my mutual fund. Im an OFW and I have been working for 10 years now here in Kuwait. Sa totoo lang sa tagal ko na sa abroad wala pa akong masasabi na ipon. Everytime I had my annual vacation sa Pinas almost all of my savings ay talagang ubos. Ung tipong one "month" millionaire hindi nman one day lang πŸ˜„πŸ˜„. Siguro sa 10 years ung family house lang namin napaayos ko. And ung hinuhulugan ko na condo for two and a half year now. 2017 pa ang turn over ng unit ko sana matapos kong bayaran soon. ❤️❤️❤️

So one time naisip ko ung scenario na sayang ung savings ko everytime na umuuwi ako ng Pinas. Imagine I have to save monthly pero pag nasa bakasyon palaging ubos ang ipon and start again to save pagbalik ng Kuwait, parang "save-spend=zero" yan ang OFW life. So then, dahil mahilig ako magbasa, one time nagsearch ako about financial freedom, dun nakita ko about mutual fund. I searched and read a lot of blogs regarding MF, nag self study talaga ako . Until i found out one of the best MF sa Pinas which is FAMI .

Sabi nila to start investing dapat my emergency fund daw❤️❤️. Since meron naman akong savings sa BDO I considered it as emergency fund πŸ‘πŸ‘. One week akong nagbasa basa ng mga forums about mutual fund and Decided na talaga ako to start my investment. I am looking for 10-15 years of investing for my retirement plan. What I did I printed all the documents in FAMI website www.fami.com.ph  I emailed their representative and ask how to start.

Heres the reply..

"Minimum initial investment is only 5,000 pesos, for additional, minimum additional is only 1,000 pesos (this is per fund)

Then ma’am question, is there a metrobank remittance center near you? if not, do you have a metrobank account? Where you can access it online? If yes, it would be better, cause you can use that for your initial and additional investment. If not, the only way is through remittance(where it has a 1 week delay).

Last option is you can ask someone here in the Philippines to pay for you in any metrobank branch. "

So if you are OFW, like me,  It is advisable then that you have an  account in metrobank so you can do your online  cost- averaging monthly. As stated sa reply sa akin it will take one week delay pag tru remittance. Meron din namang option, pwede ding mag ask ng favor sa mga pamilya sa Pinas to deposit directly at any Metrobank branch for your top-Up.

I choosed SALEF which is Save and Learn Equity Fund of FaMI a high risk fund mostly invested in stocks. I am an aggressive investor and  I want to keep it for long term for my retirement plan. By the way Im 33 yrs. old. And I want to be millionaire at my 40's.❤️❤️❤️

After explaining the procedure sa akin I printed all the documents neededπŸ‘‰@www.fami.com.ph

1. Investment Application Form
2. Investment Risk Profile
3. Account Opening Form
4. Specimen Signature
5. Two Valid Ids with photo
6. copy of remittance to SALEF

Note: You need to have a Tax Identification Number (TIN) para dun sa Investment Application Form

I scanned and send copies to sir Karlos representative of FAMi, ang bait niya and very accommodatingπŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ . The original documents was sent via LBC.

After 3days of waiting finally, I received my Client number.. CONGRAts to me coz I finally started my first step on investingπŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

Will soon update you guys for the result of my investment for my next blog..Cheers to Million..πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ
